About Kelsey

Kelsey started her career in education in the Jefferson County Public School system in Louisville, KY as a high school Geometry teacher at a turnaround school. For eight years, she worked with an incredible staff at Fern Creek High School and brought the school from the 23rd percentile in the state to the 75th percentile. That 2014-2015 school year we were awarded the Kentucky Commissioner of Education Recognition for Urban Turnaround. During this time, we were also working diligently into creating our PLCs into highly function PLCs that created the greatest impact within our students. In 2017 we were awarded the DuFour Award for PLC at Work.

For the past six years, Kelsey has worked as a District Instructional Staff Developer for Middle School Mathematics for Pinellas County, FL. Currently she serves as the President of the Pinellas Council Teachers of Mathematics and is the Region Director for Region V for the Florida Council Teachers of Mathematics.  Kelsey is a 2024 Fulbright Fellow in Teachers for Global Classrooms to Ghana.
